They're really respecting the past with these decisions. Love to see it.
so she's the one who bought that new super8 kodak camera...
Wish we could have seen these tornados on 70mm film, but 35mm is cool too.
They shoot on film then they color grade the shit out of all the scenes so it doesn't even matter.
Shot in roughly 2k resolution for 3 times the cost. Go big or go home right? People still think 4k matters lol.
And... you can achieve all that with digital.
embrace with motion picture celluloid, absolutely!
Finally cinema is back
1:24 thats a f5 right?
Kinda looks like a F4
I think it's EF5. Most likely that scene is the scene where the tornado is still rated EF3/EF4 before finally hitting the city of El Reno in Twisters and got EF5 rating.
I live Oklahoma
What a world we live in that we have to justify how good film is against digital, and its usage in shooting a movie as significant, when film has ALWAYS been better than digital.
Especially when film is simply the capture medium. Everything goes digital after that. Might as well capture the location images on the best format that you can.
@@trainsplanesmore True
More inclined to see this on the big screen, knowing it is shot on film. I enjoyed the 16mm of Dream Scenario with Nicholas Cage. The colour range of celluloid just hits different.
Nice, I would enjoy watching a breakdown of all the weather rigs. Also, I hope we get a Team Deakins podcast on this one!
@@CertainExposures That would be awesome!
i was already gonna watch this in the cinema. yall didn't have to go this hard on me. longlivefilm!
I find the "shot on film" hysteria so cringe. Nobody but a few people who cant detach from an old medium cares about whether something is shot on film or not in 2024.
@@laurencewhite4809ironically an exponentially smaller fraction of that number of people care about what you think 😊
I think because of how highly scanned this is the image looks like Alexa digital. I wouldn't have known it was shot on film unless I pixel peeped. Good example of how you treat the negative/scan/grade creates the "filmic" look. Secret sauce I think is shooting on 16 like they did for First Man.
It’s too bad this wasn’t filmed with IMAX 70mm cameras as well
#FilmisNotDead
looks incredible - cannot wait
Wow July 19th for Other people around the world? Welp to bad Australia gets it on the 11th :/
Yeah i know, im staying home from school just to watch it
So ready for this movie!! 🎥 🌪️
Let's Goooo!
Qualidade dos Filme gravados em película...insuperável 😊😊😊
Blockbusters shot on 35mm film love to see it. Especially with Dan Mindel being the cinematographer.
...and also Filmed in Panavision (anamorphic) by Mindel as well.
Exactly what I’ve been saying!!
ah hell yeah
KODAK the best.❤.
So Kodak is again making stocks!!! Great news❤
Id like to see what david lynch would say about this film. Excited to see it.
❤ Many great things come together in this film.
Qualidade Dois Vídeos da Kodak e outra coisa ...película nunca vai ser superada 😊😊😊
You guys absolutely demolished the fun and value of this camera making it so expensive
How big is your Director's Finder? Yes.
can't wait to watch this! looks incredible on film!
it was! Just got out. What'd you think?
❤❤❤ KODAK.📷❤❤❤
Yes.❤.
It bothers me that anamorphic needs to be explained.
Anamorphic compresses the image when being shot but it will decompress during production so you will notice when shot has a shallow focus so often when there is a soft background or foreground that will be appeared in a oval shape known as the bokeh
Why? Not everyone is familiar with every technical term.
KODAK always the leader 👍
Kindness means nothing without Jesus. John 3:16 In fact it could be demonic.
It’s just the title of the film don’t know what you’re on about
@@space_1073 and that goes double for me on you bub...
I am very kind but only with my dog called Putin.
We ❤ KODAK.
We do. Bring back Kodachrome and we will love you A LOT more. 😉
Long live Kodak!
Yes.❤.
Kodak, I love you guys ... but honestly, putting out a historical information video that completely omits the OTHER cameras that were used in the Apollo missions and what made them special is a serious disservice to public historical education. Why does absolutely everything need to be filtered through the lens of promotional PR?
Watching this trailer hits different after that apple ad violently squishing analog creativity into AI made the round. It's like a polar opposite in the best possible way. Almost like a direct rebuttal
the price is why you are broken
They were so advanced! It's amazing how natural and beautiful colors are. Why they don't give Green light until late 30's? Yesterday I saw a masterpice téchnical picture/ movie from 1925 with Mae Murray in this color tone. It was an extraordinary experience with a brilliance palette of colors never seen before. The film is The Merry Widow from 1925 versión and the direction, art direction, costumes and cinematography were beyond imaginstion. It almost superior to the visuals of MEGALOPOLIS
This is an ad for a product you're selling....and you're going to run UA-cam pre-roll ads?
Yeah kodak, so make the film a priority again, will ya???!? I wanna shoot super 8 so will you PLEASE make more of it at a time and lower the prices already??!??!??!
NASA has lost all the lunar module tech. documentation and therefore claims is unable to recreate its former achievements.Kodak would be probably able to reproduce the Apollo film material.
Yeah, right. Picture that with a Kodak.
Women today dont have that je ne sais quoi about themselves like women did in the older days. I think genetics have changed. People were much paler skinned then .
5000 dollars? You tweaking hahahah
No wonder Kodak flopped. They were waaaaay behind the times
